Volfoni Limited, the leading European provider of 3D technology, announced that FLiK Cinemas has selected Destiny Seating and Volfoni to equip their new Platinum-Class multiplexes. Volfoni partnered with Destiny Seating to supply FLiK Cinemas with their 3D hardware systems. FLiK Cinemas has recently completed the first Platinum-class and Gold-class multiplex in the GCC region, fulfilling their vision of a new VIP concept for cinema entertainment.
FLiK Cinemas, part of the Al Mana Group of Companies, was founded to provide a 5-star VIP concept for cinema services across Qatar and the Middle East region. The Company is headquartered in Doha, Qatar and its first Cinema was opened in Lagoona Mall in Doha in February 2017. Future theatres will open in Mirqab Mall in October 2017 and in Doha Mall in the coming months. Their latest multiplex in Mirqab Mall will also feature 3D screens fitted by Volfoni 3D hardware systems, due to FLiK’s successful results in their first multiplex at Lagoona Mall. FLiK Cinema’s ground-breaking theater concept in the Lagoona Mall features three Gold-class theaters and one Platinum-class theater.
Destiny Seating is a leading supplier and manufacturer of seats to the entertainment and corporate end-user markets. FLiK Cinemas selected Destiny Seating as their system integrator for the provisioning and deployment of their Gold and Platinum-class theaters. Destiny seating has deployed their latest seating solutions in FLIK’s Platinum-class and Gold-class multiplex. Destiny Seating partnered with Volfoni for all FLiK Cinema’s 3D hardware system requirements.
FLiK Cinemas has deployed a combination of Volfoni’s 3D cinema technology products, including the highly efficient SmartCrystal Cinema NEO series and the award-winning SmartCrystal Diamond series. The initial deployment was for their new premium multiplex in Lagoona Mall in Doha, Qatar. As a follow-on deployment, FLiK Cinemas is currently completing their second premium multiplex in Mirqab Mall in Doha, which will also feature Volfoni’s 3D cinema technology products.
